Auto, Premises & Insurance Claims

A serious collision or a fall on someone else's property can bring medical bills, lost work, and an insurance company that is in no hurry to pay. Brian S. Parker represents injured Georgians against drivers, property owners, and insurers.

Cases Brian handles

  • Serious car and truck collisions, including pedestrian injuries
  • Collisions involving government vehicles
  • Unsafe property conditions: falls, hazards, and inadequate maintenance
  • Uninsured and underinsured motorist (UM/UIM) claims against your own insurer
  • Consumer protection claims, including under the Georgia Fair Business Practices Act

Uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage

Many Georgia drivers carry too little insurance, or none. Your own UM/UIM coverage may make up the difference, but your insurer does not automatically pay what the claim is worth. Brian reviews the policies involved, identifies all available coverage, and pursues it.

Deadlines

Most personal injury claims in Georgia must be filed within two years (O.C.G.A. § 9-3-33). If a city, county, or state vehicle or property is involved, written notice may be due within six or twelve months; see Civil Rights for those notice deadlines.

What you can do after a crash or fall

  • Get medical care and follow through with treatment.
  • Photograph the scene, vehicles, hazards, and injuries.
  • Get the police or incident report number and witness contact information.
  • Notify your own insurer, but avoid recorded statements to the other side's insurer before talking with a lawyer.
  • Keep bills, pay stubs showing missed work, and a simple journal of how the injury affects daily life.
